Although Facebook claims the friendship started in May of 2010, it took a while for their relationship to grow from a simple college roommate relationship, to the unlikely odd couple friendship inexplicably formed between a nerdy gamer Animal Science girl and a outdoor adventuring writer. In June of 2011, Charli did Glendra the honor of performing at her wedding, and Glendra is delighted to receive the honor of becoming one of Charli's bridal party participants, nearly 14 years later. She wishes their friendship will always blossum through warm coffee, lazy afternoons, laughter, and love.
Meryl Kerns - Maid of Honor
Sister of the bride, a talented cook, and the wellness and self-care expert everyone needs in their lives.
“I’m Charli’s sister. Been that way all our lives. We probably will be till the end.”
Lisa Hancock - Bridesmaid
Lisa and Charli have been friends since 2019! Whether it’s paddling, mountain biking, (getting scared) climbing, or Mexican food, it’s always a good time together.
Sean Davis - Groomsman
Josh elder and Sean Davis were (are?) the two most badass guys the Lynchburg metro area ever produced. They grew up in scene 3 boardshop. They made a band and toured.. the area. They snuck backstage at an Alice In Chains concert (and got carried out). One time zoey fell out of the car window while they were jamming to the new pixies album on a windy road. . Shoutout Donna elder. Well off Gs Rest in peace Rick James (the rabbit)
Jake Hilbish - Groomsman
Jake and Josh’s friendship began in 2010, with their shared passion for skateboarding. The two first crossed paths at the Rotary Centennial Riverfront Skatepark, often blaring Rage Against the Machine or Blackstar from the legendary white bugeye Subaru Impreza and always accompanied by the one and only Sean Davis (thanks for all the pizza). From there they went on to become skatepark managers, ran a summer camp together, and were crewmen for shipyard skates. Throughout that journey they were roommates, where they had the honor of living with the late, great Peter Fosse. To this day their friendship lives on through the love of the great outdoors, good times and ice cold beer. Shout out to Jeff Suter!
Sam Purdom - Groomsman
Sam and Josh met at Rat Hole on the Russell Fork River when they were both grad students at UTK. Their friendship grew strong through a shared love for minivans, paddling, biking, PBR, and a highly sophisticated sense of humor.
